April 12th

Read: Psa. 148:1-14; 2 Cor. 5:14-21

As I consider all the facets of God which He has revealed to me, I stand in awe of who He is. We meet Him first as Creator. Just beholding our world with our unaided eyes, we see loveliness, color, variety, magnitude, glory. If we use a telescope or a microscope, more worlds of God’s creation come into view, more perfection, more life. When we see Him as Lover of our souls, Redeemer, Savior, we know the loveliness of Jesus the Christ. With our hearts we see His magnitude and glory as King of kings and Lord of lords. No matter which of His facets is revealed, we see lights and perfections (Urim and thummin-Ex. 28:30), for God is all and in all. Because He is who He is, who His Word says He is, we must praise Him.

IN LIFE, PRAISE!
Your loveliness surrounds me.
Your glory fills my eyes.
Your magnitude astounds me
As I survey Your skies.

The wideness of Your spectrum
Of multicolored hues,
The completeness of Your kingdom
With awe my mind imbues.

I see minute perfection,
The seed and cells that grow,
How under Your direction
With life they overflow.

I understand my life force
Is but a part of Thee
And that Your are my resource
For all eternity.

Your Spirit doth sustain me
And in my being dwells,
And though flesh would constrain me,
Your Word my heart impels.

Prayer: Lord God Almighty, thank You for accepting me. Accept my praise, as inadequate as it seems to me.
