March 24th

Read: Mark 9:17-24; 1 John 4:11-21 and 1 John 5:4-15; Jer. 29:11-13 and  Jer. 33:3; Psa. 62:5

When we deal with God, we deal with possibilities, expectations, even probabilities … not as gamblers figuring the odds, but as people of faith believing His Word. We can say with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, “He is able to deliver me.”(Daniel 3:17) We can trust Paul’s understanding that “Nothing is able to separate us from the love of God.” (Rom. 8:39). We can see Christ Jesus as the object of our expectation and realize that He is able to “subdue all things unto Himself.” (Phil. 3:20-21). The possibilities are endless in Christ.

POSSIBILITIES
Possibilities stretch ahead
Beyond the scope of mortal mind,
Awaiting God to weave the thread
Of bright conception, then to unwind
The filament of hard endeavor,
Loosing thought that fear doth bind.

Fear slows our creative thought
And hinders what man would achieve,
But God’s own Spirit fear dispels,
Enabling man’s mind to conceive
And Spirit’s quickening concepts come
To those who in their hearts believe.

Prayer: Dear Lord, all my expectations are in You. Open my mind and my heart to see Your possibilities in my life.
