July 26th

Read: 1 Cor. 3:6-8 and 4:2; 1 Th. 2:19-20

Being faithful in life and witness is the core of Christian service. If my life does not back up my witness, I am not faithful to my Savior. If my life is in right order, but I never witness for Jesus, I am doing only half my job! A true believer desires to see souls added to the church and rejoices with all of Heaven when that occurs. I want my life to be crowned with rejoicing. How about you?

THE INCREASE
What I may speak or pen or do
Is naught, O Lord, without Your hand
To bring increase and life anew
Into the hearts I would expand.

`Tis true, O Lord, I may not know
How deep do spring my words of Thee
But I must still Your message sow
In love to serve and faithful be.

Then if a seed should flourish well
Under another’s watchful care,
I know that in each life-filled cell
Your will, O Lord, and hand are there.

And when I stand at last with Thee
And see the names which You record,
When I Your saints in glory see,
Rejoicing will be my reward.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to be a faithful steward for You. Keep me witnessing out of a life overflowing with You.
