November 2nd

Read: Psalm 107:23-30 and Matthew 8:23-27

When we lose our way, we can be sure that our Savior knows exactly where we are and that He can guide us into His way and into a peaceful harbor.

STORM AT SEA
I felt that I was sailing
On a vast uncharted sea,
Capricious winds prevailing,
And no one there but me.

The storm and waves were howling
And fear within was rife;
My rigging was a-fouling;
I’d lost my way through life.

And then, as I was seeking
With wearied eyes for land,
I heard the Savior speaking.
I felt the Master’s hand.

His presence brought new daring;
His touch brought fear’s release;
His voice, so calm and caring,
To stormy sea brought peace.

Now as the skies are clearing
And North Star shines above,
I feel my Pilot steering
My ship o’er lanes of love.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I thank You for Your loving presence and faithful guidance through the storms which blow into my life.
