September 10th

Read: Romans 15:13; Phil. 4:19;   2 Peter 1:3-10;   1 Corinthians 1:30

God gives us all we need to live the Christian life in godliness. Jesus Christ himself is our righteousness. If, because of Christ, we are in right standing with God, we may go to Him for everything we need to help us do His will.

SOURCE, FORCE, AND COURSE
God is the true beginning
Of hope and peace and light.
He fills our hearts and lives with joy,
Brings every true delight.
God, the One Creator, is our source.

Christ, in resurrection power,
Sent Comforter to stay,
To share His power with His church
Until the final day.
The quickening Holy Spirit is our force

The true believers come to trust
With every step they take.
If we seek out His will for us,
He never will forsake.
Thus our faith in Him defines our course.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for making me righteous in Christ. I want my life to be godly, pleasing unto You. Thank You for Your work in me to bring me to maturity in Christ
