Read: Job 39
Our pastor in London used to tell the youth club, “Alligators don’t grow on apple trees.” He was saying that when God created our world and set it in order, it stayed that way. He is a God of order. He is distressed when His people are ‘out of order’. He wants us to appreciate and cooperate with His orderly ways.
DIVINE ORDER
‘Tis You, 0 Lord, who keeps all things
In perfect law and order.
You send the rain, yet still You keep
The seas within their border.
You set the sun to brighten day,
Yet send him to his rest
And give us darkness for the hours
When Earth with sleep is blest.
The seasons change within the year
In perfect harmony.
Planting time and harvest come.
For this, Lord, we thank Thee.
The eagle and the hawk give chase
To creatures spurned by man,
Each one maintaining special place
In Your omniscient plan.
And within each and everyone
Who searches out Your way
Your divine order lives and keeps
Him close to You each day.
Prayer: Dear Lord, keep me close to You that my life may be in order.
