What a loving faithful God we serve! Nothing can separate us from His love, which is from everlasting to everlasting. It is active for us, one of God’s great activities on our behalf. It is uncaused because it is one of God’s attributes. It is undeserved because there is no good thing in us to deserve it. It is infinite and holy and vast beyond our understanding. It is manifested towards us in God’s good will. Audacious faith dares to believe this. We see it in His identification with us emotionally as He gives freely to the object of His affection.
LOVE EVERLASTING
Love Everlasting holds me today,
Strengthens, emboldens to enter the fray.
The Father’s right hand will never let go.
E’er through the battle His power will flow.
Love Everlasting pulls in my life
When I overstep to enter men’s strife;
But when I do battle to win a lost soul,
He quickens and helps me to gain His own goal.
Love Everlasting comforts me too
When men’s hearts are hard or to Him seem untrue.
He just reminds me that Jesus wept oft,
And He shows His delight that my heart remains soft.
Love Everlasting smiles through His tears.
In infinite mercy He’s waited for years.
While men use His patience to gain what they will,
Ignoring His love, He reaches out still.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for loving me.
