Read: Psalm 103:13-14;   1 Peter 5:7; Psalm 139, 106; John 14:12-14

Recently I was struck down suddenly with a life-threatening illness. In the middle of the pain and uncertainty I realized the presence of my God, and I remembered that His knowledge of me and my circumstances was perfect. I was comforted because when I asked my Heavenly Father to oversee the required surgery on my brain, I knew that He would do just that, because I asked Him as a believer in Jesus and His work of redemption on Calvary. He has marvellously healed me with the aid of a wonderful surgeon and some excellent nursing care.

Not only did He know about the aneurysm in my brain, but He also took me to the very place where excellent care and help was available. He scheduled and orchestrated everything because He cares for me.

He knows and cares for you as well. With your trust placed squarely upon Him, you, too, can have the same peace of heart which I knew during a dark hour.

SOMEONE KNOWS
Someone knows our hearts’ deep dread;
Someone knows what lies ahead
Along the winding path we tread;
The Father knows and cares.

Someone knows our greatest pain;
Someone knows our loss or gain
As life brings deepest joy or bane.
Jesus knows and cares.

Someone knows our aging frame;
Someone knows our hearts’ true flame
And how we love the Savior’s name.
Someone knows and cares.

Prayer: I thank You, Father, that Your knowledge of me and of all things works on my behalf because of Your care for me.
