November 20th

November 20th

Read: Jeremiah 33:3; Colossians 3:14; Proverbs 15:13; and Proverbs 17:22

Whatever I do, whatever I write or say, unless God works through me it is all vanity. Each day is a fresh page. I face that thought as I write and as I deal with people, especially strangers.

When we were working in London, John and I used to see if we could make the blank faces (which we met so often on the streets) smile in return for our smiles. I fear we wasted many smiles, but we did it in love, so perhaps God used them anyway.

BLANK PAGES
Blank pages staring back at me …
What shall I write?
What shall I say?
How shall I tell my thoughts today?

Father in Heaven, I turn to Thee …
Help me to write,
Help me, I pray.
Help me to tell Thy thoughts today.

Blank faces staring back at me …
What can I do?
What can I say?
How can I make them smile today?

Father in Heaven, I turn to Thee …
Help me to do,
Help me to pray.
Help me to show Thy love today.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to project You rather than myself… each day.
