MYSTERY
I’m full of heavenly treasure
From God, whose great supply
Can never be full-measured
Though mortal man may try.

I walk with Jesus, hand in hand,
I know His gentle voice.
His sacrifice death’s gulf hath spanned.
He gives me freedom’s choice.

My heart is wrapped in folds of peace,
My life in sweet content.
I survey wonders, find surcease,
And run my course unspent.

I sail upon a silver sea
Where living waters flow
Out across eternity
Towards eastern skies aglow.

And yet I’m poor and full of need!
How can such thing be so?
I must on heavenly manna feed
If I am still to grow.

I need God’s loving hand to hold,
As sheep-like I might stray,
To keep me safe within the fold
So Satan won’t gain sway.

I need a daily time with Him,
A season with His Word,
Lest my vision become dim,
Lest purpose become blurred.

I’m mystery embodied, Lord.
I’ve found, yet lose my way!
I thank You for Your riches, Lord.
Address my needs I pray.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for Your provisions for my daily walk with You. Help me to appreciate them and You fully.
