Read: John 15:12, 13; Matt. 22:34-40 and Matt. 5:17

God’s greatest commandment is to love. If we love, we will not break the other commandments! If I love my neighbor, I will not covet anything of his. If I love God, I will not use His name in vain or worship anything or anyone but Him. If I love my family, I will not lie to them and I will honor my parents.

If I understand another’s heart, I am adding a Godly dimension to my love, for God understands what He loves. Praise His name.

LOVE AND UNDERSTANDING
To love one another on life’s path,
One you just chance to meet
Or one who walks beside you
In friends’ communion sweet,
To love at all is to obey
The highest law of God;
To love with self-denial
Follows path where Jesus trod.

To understand another’s heart
Is one creative act
Which we can share with God in part,
Which will lost souls attract.
When understanding love occurs …
When these two acts do blend …
Then God works in and through your life
As others you befriend.

Prayer: Dear God, help me to love as You do, without condition.
