Every day of life brings some new reason to trust my Lord Jesus Christ. Relationships become strained; wickedness seems to surround us; physical and financial burdens oppress; rebellion seems to be a way of life. Without ongoing trust in the God of our salvation I would be discouraged, disheartened, disturbed, and diseased. So would you. Perhaps you are some of these things. If so, allow the above passages to put a song of praise on your lips and in your heart.
NO MATTER WHAT
No matter what may pass today,
No matter where doth lead my way,
I shall never fear.
Angels sent in wide array
So I need not know dismay
Hover ever near.
No matter what the world might say,
No matter how it tries to sway,
I shall never fear.
I am done with deep dismay;
I have done with yesterday
New life doth appear.
For Jesus walks with me each day;
He takes my hand along the way,
Saying, “I am here.”
Prayer: Dear Lord, I sense Your presence working for my good. No matter what, help me to t trust You in all things.
