October 28th

Read: Isaiah 42:16 and Isaiah 43:1-3; Hebrews 1:1-3

Jesus, my Savior, makes God the Father real to me. He is the “express image” of the Father. In Jesus I see Jehovah, the covenant God of Israel; I see Jehovah Raah, the Good Shepherd of Psalm 23. I see Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals, and Elohim, Creator God; El Shaddai, the Most High God, and Adonai, the Master and Teacher.

When He points me in some direction, I know there’s a way. Jesus became the Way too.

WITH GOD THERE’S A WAY
When brambles and thorns
Make my path hard to see,
When a forest stands there
With danger for me,
When a mountain of troubles
Spawns uncertainty,
I look to my Savior,
Who greets my dismay
With encouraging smile,
And I hear Him say,
“Follow the Father.
With Him there’s a way.
He’ll cut through the thorns
With the sword of His Word;
With the light of His truth
Your loins He will gird.
His path He will show thee,
`Twill no longer be blurred.”

Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for revealing the Father to me. Help me to tell others about Your Way too.
