March 29th

Read: Romans 12:2; Ephesians 3:16-19; 1 Corinthians 2:16

The work which the dear Holy Spirit has done on my mind since I gave my life to Christ is incredible! We are instructed by Paul to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. He does not say, “Transform or renew your minds.” The passive verb tense is used here to indicate that it is a process to which we yield ourselves, something done for us with our cooperation. I can testify to that. He took a chrysalis, a cocoon, if you will, and transformed it into a lovely new life form just as a butterfly emerges from that little sac in which it was broken down and transformed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. Now my mind is geared to fly into realms unknown before the Holy Spirit began His work on me.

IF I HAD A POCKETBOOK
If I had a pocketbook roomy enough
To hold each astonishing scheme,
To hold all the thoughts that eddy and spin
And flow from my mind in a stream,
If I had a pocketbook roomy enough
For the piquant ideas that teem,
For the love-thoughts that grow, over rancor to win,
Now that Jesus has written love’s theme,
If I had a pocketbook roomy enough
To hold all the musings I dream
Now that God, by His grace, has let them begin,
I fear it would still burst a seam!

Prayer: I thank You, dear Holy Spirit, for all You have done in me and that You will continue to work until I am home with Jesus.
