February 4th

Read: Psalm 37:4; Revelation 5:1-7; and Revelation 22:3-5

The children of Israel had a geographical land to which they were being led, but what of us? How does that fit into our situation? When we bind ourselves together with the LORD in Christ and keep His way, we too have an inheritance, a promised land for eternity.

We, as believers, will be exalted from our humble positions on earth to rule with Christ! We will inherit everything which He does, because we are in Him. Remember that the Lamb holds the title deed to the world! (Rev. 5:1-7)

ANTICIPATION

Anticipation whets the joy, 
Joy unspeakable and unknown, 
As I await that blessed day 
When Christ will gather up His own. 
In readiness I watch and wait, 
Working as a servant should, 
Until my Lord at God’s own time, 
Shall part the evil from the good.

And those who stand at His right hand, 
Righteous, not for what they’ve done, 
But for the atoning sacrifice 
Of Jesus, God’s own precious Son, 
Shall bow in joy and worship there 
The Son of Man in kingly crown, 
Then reign in power and glory share 
As nations lay their scepters down.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help my vision of that land promised to Your children to be real in my life so that I may keep eternity’s values in mind.
