Read: Proverbs 11:24-25 and Luke 6:38

Somehow, man’s giving often has a string attached. God, however, just gives continually. He gives to all. He gives love, mercy, gentleness, goodness, truth, and forgiveness when man often gives just the opposite. And when man does loosen his purse strings, he often has to keep some control over how the money is spent. Somehow, he can’t just give in love and expect God to use it as He sees fit in the recipient’s life. Sometimes we hinder Him under the guise of ‘good stewardship.’

I have learned over more than 60 years of walking in faith that no one can outgive our God … not in any area of His wonderful providence. When we give, He gives in return just as Luke mentions in the verse above. How blessed we are to be His children.

VACUUM
We know that Nature does not like
A vacuum in her sphere,
That she will fill one quickly
When occasion doth appear.

Just so, when you and I decide
To give from a full heart
The love and gifts we shelter there,
That we have kept apart.

God will not leave an empty place
When our good gifts we share.
He’ll draw more good things unto us
And fill with love to spare.

Prayer: Dear God, Scripture says that You “daily load us with benefits” (Psalm 68:19) Help me to pass along many of them to those around me.
