September 8th
Read: Psalm 94:11 and Psalm 10:4
When God is not in all of our thinking, and He is not working in us and through us, we can be classed with the wicked! (Psa. 10:4) That may seem a harsh statement, but it is God’s, not mine. Whatever we do without God’s input is wasted effort, useless to His kingdom and His plan.
UNLESS
The thoughts I think are vanity
Unless they are Your thoughts in me.
My works on earth will not abide
Unless Your love burns bright inside.
The paths I choose would ever stray
Unless You are my guide each day.
The words I speak are powerless
Unless my lips Your name confess.
Your precious Word means naught to me
Unless Your light helps me to see.
Prayer: Dear God, keep my mind stayed upon You, because my mind is the place where actions begin, and I want all my actions and words to honor You.
