June 9th

Read: Mt. 5:13-16; Gal. 6:2; 1 Cor. 12:1-11; Luke 21:1-4

Each believer has a God-given purpose on earth. Every believer has at least one God-given gift to use for His purpose. Some of us are to be mightily used by Him just as Paul was. Others of us will be giving Him their all in small ways, even as the widow with her mite. See what Jesus said about her! Big purpose or small, each of us needs to be willing to cooperate with God in His purpose by using His gifts in our lives for His glory. This requires a consecrated life and a humble and contrite heart.

FLING WIDE THE GATES
Live not to self all deep inside;
Hide not the gifts God doth provide;
Rather, from heart-gates flung out wide,
Show how His good is multiplied.

His light reflected is magnified.
His love shown forth is glorified.
His mirrored peace can’t be denied
When we fling our heart-gates open wide.

Prayer: Dear Lord, accept all of me to use in Your plan. Reveal to me the gifts I have from You, Your gifts which I may not have realized were there. Help me to use them always for Your glory.
