December 11th

Read: Psalm 43:27:1 and Matthew 5:14-16

When the world seems dark around me, I need to see the Light of the World, Jesus. When lies oppress me from without, I need the Truth, Jesus. My heart needs filling constantly with the Steady Light, Jesus. God did send out His Light one dark night in Bethlehem of Judea . . . Jesus.

SEND OUT THY LIGHT
Surging Star-fire
Blazing bright,
Shed Your brilliance
On my night.
Radiant nimbus,
Truth’s bright beam,
Searing lightning,
Dazzling gleam,
Lift my darkness,
Glow impart.
Light of Heaven,
Fill my heart!

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for Your Light, Jesus Christ. I pray that He might shine through me.
