Read: Isa. 35:10; Psa. 40:1-5; Psa. 77:1-6; Psa. 42:6-11; Psa. 149:5

I have been asked occasionally to name my  favorite hymn. It is difficult to decide upon the one, because there are so many which speak to my heart and lift my very being in praise and worship to my God and  Savior. The truth is that Jesus is my Song. Any words or melody which come to me from Him are just frosting on my cake. I was put on this earth to praise Him. So were you! Our praises are inhabited by Him. Old Satan cannot get a toehold on us when we are praising God, because we are filled by His Holy Spirit at such times. We just need to keep praising God in spite of dark circumstances and restless nights.

WORSHIP
I look in awe and great amaze
As I regard my God-filled days.
I understand within my heart
That I must always do my part,
To love Him greatly and adore;
But then He always does much more
Than my small faltering ways can meet,
So I fall humbly at His feet.

I can never fully repay
The peace and joy in every day,
The clarity with which I see,
The absent fear that makes me free,
The hearts He gives that open wide
To take me lovingly inside.
No, I can never such love meet,
So I fall humbly at His feet.

I tremble at the sacrifice
Of Jesus as He paid my price.
To comprehend His awful pain,
Suffered so I might live again,
Is more than mortal mind can know.
I just believe and know ’tis so …
He wants my love! And comes to greet
Me as I fall at nail-pierced feet.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for being my song, night or day. Help me to sing praises as my life is filled by You.
