Almighty God is just that – all mighty, all powerful. He holds sway over parts of His universe which man can only imagine. He has knowledge at which my finite mind would stagger if He were to reveal it to me as I am now. Everything which He does reveal is intended for His good in this world and the worlds beyond our limited vision. From microscopic infinity to the magnitude of infinity, He is God.
HOW BIG IS GOD?
He’s big enough to set the sun
And mold the earth’s sweet land
And then to halt their daily run
At Joshua’s command.
He’s big enough to flood the world
With His almighty hand
And then send sacred pledge unfurled
When His rainbow Heaven spanned.
He’s big enough to cast forth snow
On Autumn’s dying land
And then to call forth green to grow
When spring comes as He planned.
He’s big enough to count the stars
Flung scattered by His hand
And even to number ocean bars
And their sparkling grains of sand.
He’s big enough to free my heart
From sin’s encircling band
And then His Spirit to impart
So spark within is fanned.
He’s big enough to love me now,
And now I understand
He’s bigger yet than I allow
My vision to expand.
Prayer: Dear God, expand my vision and understanding of You and Your universe each day as I seek to know You. Help me to express Your majesty to those around me.
