Read: Job 26:7-14 and Psalms 19
We seek after knowledge of all sorts and often are the poorer for finding it. We will always be richer for seeking after God and the knowledge of His ways.
A PORTION OF GLORY
We only scratch the surface
When we would tell Thy ways;
Even the shallows we may plumb
Do finite minds amaze!
Our understanding cannot reach
Into Thy treasuries.
Our searching does not span beyond
An ego’s full degrees.
How can our earthbound knowledge
Full fathom Thy deep place?
And how can we stretch tall enough
Thy heavens to embrace?
Our hearts may gain some insight
Into a poor fragmented soul,
But only Thy great healing love
Can recreate it whole.
From smallest form of cell-life
To furthest shining star
Is but a portion of the grace
And glory which You are.
Prayer: Dear God, help me to dig and to dive deep to find out more about You. Teach me from Your Word, in Your Holy Spirit and in other ways, whichever seems best to You.
