Today’s world harbors little of truth. Even our government deems truth to be something which can be manipulated and put forth as `mis-information’. Teachers in our school systems teach theory as fact and negate the truths which parents seek to instill in their children in the home and the church. Some pastors circumvent God’s Word in order to bring their flocks to understand and adopt what is `politically correct rather than what is righteous and holy. Sin is called a `life-style’. Wrong is called right. Right is called wrong.

Only God can sort it all out for us. He has supplied us with the rules of life and conduct, the Holy Scriptures. His truth will survive man’s efforts to deny it. We need to be watching for the lies and recognizing false teachers. That is why we are to `have our loins girt about with truth’. Are your loins covered?

KEEP ME
Keep me constant, Lord, for Thee
In this multitudinous sea
Of thought and action not Your own
Tossed where fickle winds have blown.

Keep my mind on one pure thought
That I might cleave through this onslaught
With truth’s bright sword, its rapier blade
Piercing where lies have stronghold laid.

Keep me strong to do Your will,
Unflagging on my course until
I’ve overcome the seething foam
And reached Your haven, my true home.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for forewarning me in Your Word about the lies which are rampant today. Help me to seek Your truth and always to stand for it.
