October 10th

Read: 2 Cor. 9:6-11: Mark 12:29-30; Matt. 6:1-4; James 2:14-20; Heb. 1:1-3

I have come to understand that faith is a Spirit-controlled partnership with God through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is a viable relationship with the Creator of our Universe. When we move towards Him in faith, He moves towards us in love and puts all His power, providence, and love at our disposal in order for us to serve Him here on Earth.

FAITH
Faith is not a statement
Graven deep in stone
To read on those rare moments
When you relax alone.

Faith is cheerful giving
In spite of all you lack.
`Tis also loving others
Who might not love you back.

Faith is not a banner
To carry all unfurled
Just so folks can see it
As you walk through the world.

Faith is moving forward
And risking what you must,
Not seeing where you’re stepping,
Because in God you trust.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the gift of faith in my life. May it always carry me to those who need Your intervention and love.
