December 13th

Read: James 3:17-18 and Isaiah 9:6

We should prepare our hearts for Christmas so that others might see our worshipful and giving attitudes and so that God will be glorified. He has given us many gifts to pass along to others. We should desire to do that for Him.

CHRISTMAS PRAYER
Oh Lord, help me, as I approach
Thy manger bed this year,
To offer gifts which show Your love
To all whom I hold dear.

Help me bring joy to everyone
Whom I meet on my way,
To put new song within each heart
To sing on Christmas Day.

Help me give courage to that one
Who ever lives in fear,
To show Your resurrection power
Is greater than world’s jeer.

Give me wise words to pass along
To those who veer from course,
Which tell that Wisdom’s gift doth flow
From Your one mind, one source.

Help me to look within each heart,
To search past what’s in view,
To see Your perfect Self therein
And Your approval too.

Help me to give to one who knows
But pain and stress and strife
Awareness of Your healing power
Which leads to health and life.

And finally, Lord, help me to show
To those who seek release
From sin and darkness here below
That You are Prince of Peace.

Prayer: Dear Lord, keep me giving for You.
