May 25th

Read: Gen. 1:1; Col. 1:15-19; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gen. 1:26-27 with Eph. 4:24; and Rev. 1:18

When a person is born again into Christ, a miracle happens. That person is re-created in the righteousness of God. Scripture says that she is a new creation, a new creature, that she has died to sin (Rom. 6:1-10), that she is no longer in bondage to it.
Think of that! A new creation! Death no longer holds sway over the new creature!

CONTINUING CREATION
Creation has not ceased.
It continues every day,
New life and new growth,
In God’s own special way.

Cells with life do pulse;
Hearts with love do beat;
Life and love combined
In Christ make man complete.

‘Til single-minded death
Lies vanquished in the soul,
God does the-battle join,
Creating tired hearts whole.

Without His quickening flow,
His new life flooding in,
His ever-renewing stream,
Stagnation would begin.

Creation does not cease
But starts afresh each day,
New life and new growth,
In God’s own special way.

Prayer: Thank You, Lord Jesus, for vanquishing death. Help me to see myself as Your new creation. Make it real to me.
