September 25th
Read: Mark 2:5-12
The healing of one’s spirit is the priority healing in anyone’s life. Once God has healed the spirit through the Lord Jesus Christ, the way is paved for physical healing as long as true faith is employed. Healing for the spirit comes with forgiveness of one’s sins and the removal of all the guilt which people carry when they have not confessed their sins before our holy God and allowed Jesus’ atoning sacrifice to be applied to their lives.
HEALING
God’s healing ways are oft known best
By those who put Him to the test.
I know forgiveness of my sin
Must come ere healing enters in,
And so I come to Jesus’ feet
In faith He’ll sin’s condition meet.
The act of seeking Jesus’ will
Expresses faith that every ill
Will somehow fade at His sweet touch,
The contact which I need so much.
His presence fills my every need.
‘Twill heal, forgive, and intercede.
I find that Gilead’s healing balm
Doth soothe and ease and bring sweet calm
To all life’s heartaches and the stress
The world brings from its wilderness.
I feel the healing in His wings
And praise my Lord with heart that sings.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for healing my spirit and for the life I have in Christ Jesus.
