Intercessory prayer is the strength and life-blood of the local church. It motivates, moves, and provides for God’s missionaries. It activates God’s healing power. It opens the mouths of His witnesses and the ears of hearers, all of these things in the power of the Holy Spirit.
The prayers of the believer, whether private or public, have the ear of God. Jesus said so. (Mt. 21:22) The need addressed, no matter how small or how great, will be considered by the Father. Life changes result from earnest, believing prayer.

WHATE’ER THY NEED
Whate’er may be your need today,
My prayer already wings its way,
For Spirit deep within my breast
Knows more than I what would be best.
I whisper but your name in prayer
And know that He is with you there.

He knows your heart and deepest need
And goes before to intercede
And lays before the Father’s throne
This prayer, just for His ear alone.
God hears and answers in His way
To meet each need you have today.

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for my access to You ‘for grace to help in time of need’ (Heb. 4:16) through my prayers. Show me the needs around me and teach me to pray in the right way for Your help in all of them.
